About Us
Coming from her own background of singing, Cassy has been training the voice for over 10 years and studying vocals for 17+ years . Previously the primary voice teacher & director of Vocal Intensive Studios Denver, Cassy left and established the Vocal Arts Academy, a boutique vocal studio located in Lone Tree, Co.
Cassy has studied vocals at CU Denver as well as furthered her education under the instruction of teachers such as Melissa Cross (The Art of Screaming), Pilar Morgan (founder of Vocal Intensive Studios & NATS certified) and Shannon Coates (Vocal Pedagogy) receiving hundreds of hours of dedicated training. She believes the foundation for a long lasting vocal career starts with vocal health. She has dedicated her career to finding the safest and healthiest methods of vocal technique to further not only her voice, but the voices of her students. She has been the sole organizer & director of over 40 performances in her career as a teacher.
Cassy has helped students all over the world achieve admittance into musical theater programs spanning from P.A.C.E. to the Boston Conservatory of Berklee & the University of Northern Colorado. She has helped students with auditions for shows such as The Voice, American Idol & The X Factor with several students making it to the final round of auditions. Her passion is not only for teaching proper vocals but preparing her students for success in every aspect.
As a singer Cassy has performed hundreds of places, most notably at Red Rocks Amphitheater for Prostate Cancer Awareness. She has recorded and co-produced her own EP called Graffiti Hearts and is currently working on a follow up album to release in 2024. Musically, she plays an array of instruments, focusing on the piano, flute & guitar. Although she prefers to listen to more alternative music, her singing repertoire spans genres, including Contemporary & Classical Musical Theater, Pop/Rock/Alternative, Jazz, Classical, Country & Folk.
